I have spent my entire life in Fair Haven (née Murphy), and I’m now raising my family here as well. I went through Smart Start Pre-K, Sickles, Knollwood, and RFH, so my understanding of this town comes from lived experience across generations.
This history gives me perspective on how decisions made years ago shape daily life today, and how the choices we make now will affect families long into the future.
As mayor, I bring both institutional memory and long-term accountability to every decision.
I earned a BA in Political Science from Dickinson College, where I developed a strong grounding in public policy, government structure, and decision-making.
My education informs how I approach leadership: carefully weighing impacts, understanding legal and regulatory frameworks, and navigating complex issues thoughtfully rather than reactively.
As mayor, this foundation allows me to lead with clarity, process, and respect for how local decisions intersect with broader systems.
I co-founded the Fair Haven Farmers Market as a volunteer effort to create a true gathering place for our town. The market brings neighbors together and supports local makers.
The market is not a revenue-generating venture for me; it exists because of many unpaid hours spent organizing, coordinating, and showing up week after week. This is a commitment I share with my amazing co-founders, simply because the community benefits from it.
This work reflects how I lead: investing time and energy without expectation of personal gain, focusing instead on what makes our town more connected and vibrant.
Serving as a member of the Fair Haven Fire Department’s Fire Police has given me firsthand insight into public safety, volunteer service, and teamwork.
I’ve worked alongside neighbors who volunteer their time when it matters most, and that experience has reinforced my respect for our first responders and municipal staff.
As mayor, I will lead with a deep appreciation for those who serve and a commitment to supporting them with clear communication and responsible resource management.
I co-created the Estuary Art Show & Art Walk to celebrate creativity, activate and highlight our most important public spaces, and support local businesses. This work reflects my belief that culture and community identity are deeply connected.
As mayor, I will continue to support thoughtful placemaking that strengthens Fair Haven’s character.
As a board member of the Education Foundation of Fair Haven, I volunteer my time to help ensure our schools have access to opportunities that fall outside the limits of the municipal budget.
I currently co-chair Course & Courts, our inaugural fundraiser that raised more than $50,000 to directly support the educational programs and resources that are at risk due to a systemic cost pressure set by the state.
As a small-business co-owner in Fair Haven, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to get things done. Navigating permits, regulations, timelines, and unclear processes while trying to serve customers and stay afloat takes persistence, patience, and far more time than it should.
That experience has shaped my perspective on how local government can either slow people down or help them succeed.
As mayor, I would work to make Fair Haven more straightforward and supportive for small businesses by improving communication, clarifying processes, and removing unnecessary obstacles so local entrepreneurs can focus on contributing to the community, not fighting bureaucracy.
Serving on the Planning Board and Environmental Commission has given me a deep understanding of land use, zoning, environmental stewardship, and long-range planning.
I was a collaborator on Fair Haven’s Environmental Resource Inventory, helping document the natural assets that define our town and inform responsible decision-making.
As mayor, I will continue to lead with a long-term view, recognizing that today’s decisions shape Fair Haven for generations.
As a board member of Holiday Express, I’m proud to support an organization rooted in compassion and service. I have been part of the organization almost since its inception in the 1990s.
This work reminds me that leadership is about empathy, inclusion, and lifting others up.
As mayor, I will bring a people-first approach that values dignity and kindness.
